Adventure Books

These books are the cornerstones of our box sets, containing the main storyline of the adventure campaign and so much more. Contained within are tools and tips, quick references, and a spirit of versatility that makes being a GM so much fun! This campaign seeks to unravel the stories of the oppressed, nomadic Hanataz people, and hopefully, make the preparation required to run an awesome game much more enjoyable. Everything about these books is designed for GM’s ease of use. From the metallic-comb binding that allows our books to lay perfectly flat, to highly detailed descriptions that can either be read verbatim or paraphrased at your discretion, our Adventure Books are geared to give GMs the resources they need to weave an EPIC tale that their players will talk about for years!

GM Reference Books

While our Adventure Books tell the tales, our GM Reference Guides provide assets that help build a fulfilling story! Each one of these books is packed full of lore, background, and extras that serve to flesh out games and help them evolve into truly memorable experiences our players crave. Tools like our Not-So-Random-Encounters (NSREs) and Gooey Additions help create contextual points of interest that can be revisited later to seamlessly transition between keyed encounters and really breathe life into the world. Battle Stats and encounter descriptions work in tandem with the Adventure Books to minimize page flipping and keep your table right in the action! There are also a host of different story threads and rumors, as well as new monster and NPC descriptions and backstories to make a living world that grows and evolves over time.

Handouts

Creativity is the driving force behind roleplaying games. All manner of things can help spark our imaginations and create that immersion so many of us enjoy. The extensive handouts included with every adventure package are meant to produce exactly that. Illustrations of our different environments are meant to catalyze your players’ imagination and help you collectively weave their character experiences in dangerous and beguiling lands.

NPC Portraits

Roleplaying often takes up a chunk of our time around the table, and with good reason. It follows that we as GMs would try to enhance this facet of the game as much as possible, which is where our NPC Portraits really shine. Not all GMs have the desire or skill to master voice work, and that’s okay. So, players seeing NPC portraits can only help the GM vitalize these characters according to their preference. Plus, being able to reference back to a character’s appearance is incredibly useful for memory retention for your players.

Special Item Cards

Players love roleplaying, combat, and adventures, but we all know there is one thing that often entices them more than most: loot. Every chapter bundle has a pack of Special Item Cards included that can be handed out to your players as they pick up items during their adventures. With these cards you can literally “hand out” the items to your players as they obtain them, which serves a dual purpose. First, you won’t need to repeatedly read off the effects of the item if they forget (right?). Second, they will be able to start physically building their loot collections and see their spoils piling up, rather than simply making a written entry for them on their character sheets.

Gooey Rewards

Gooey Rewards are special in-game player rewards that add a divine dimension to pretty much any plotline. These were innovated in our home games, and proved so popular that we brought them to Gooey Cube. Give them to players in-between leveling to reward them for problem solving, roleplay, combat excellence, achieving goals and objectives, and more. These incentives can make a quest feel truly heroic.
